....We all need a place for inspiration - a holy place. Christians and Jews go to Jerusalem and Moslems to Mecca. Car modelers come to Kapfenhardt. It is a must for the dedicated and our guru here is Horst Denneler. I say without exaggeration that here we meet modelers from all continents: America, Australia and all parts of Europe, and friendships are made which last a lifetime. There can only be one winner of a race but this is not important; the taking part in races here is very special and no one can predict the winners. In this speech I pay my compliments to the people who first created this track and to those who rebuilt it. I would ask all present to applaud these people, the organizers of this competition and the Renngemeinschaft Schwarzwald Club. Thank you, Paul Otto Ströbel
